My Photography

Check out some of my photos.

As a journalist, I often photograph the communities I report on. My photos capture moments that complement and deepen the stories I write. Below is a selection of my photography published in Community Impact and personal projects.

Documenting the flow

These photos were taken during my reporting assignments, where water often played a key role—from droughts and floods to rivers that shape local identity. This collection captures how water impacts daily life across Central Texas.

Where decisions are made

These photos were taken during reporting assignments across Hays County, capturing the exteriors of city halls and government buildings. While often overlooked, these spaces are where key decisions shaping local communities are made. This collection serves as a visual record of the places behind the policies.

Documenting early education

These photos were taken during a feature story at a local Head Start center, where I documented the people, spaces, and daily moments that shape early childhood education. Through these images, I aimed to highlight the impact of accessible learning and the dedication of educators serving young children in our community.

Model photography

While my background is in journalism, I’ve recently started exploring portrait photography as a creative extension of visual storytelling. These images were taken during a casual shoot with a model, where I focused on natural light, mood, and expression.

San Marcos Spotlight: Daughter of the Wild

These photos were taken as part of my feature story on Daughter of the Wild, a San Marcos-based shop that embodies creativity and community spirit. The images capture moments that highlight the heart of their work and their connection to the local community.
